Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.


My mum passed away in April 2015. I've always thought about doing an ironman triathlon but never seriously considered it. However, when mum died I thought "well, why not?!!!!"

The event consists of a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and finally, a 26.2 mile marathon. I've got a cut off time of 17 hours in which to complete it.

 HOWEVER..... I didn't manage to complete the ironman last year - But will this stop me? NO!!!

I have entered the same race in 2017 and in preparation for this I will be completing the Manchester Marathon in April......

The Nottingham outlaw half distance triathlon in May.....

Ironman Staffordshire half distance triathlon in June 

(the half distance triathlons are 1.2 mile swim then 56 mile bike ride and 13.1  mile half marathon at the end.

This years Ironman in  Bolton is on Sunday the 16th of July and this year IT WILL NOT BEAT ME!!!!!
