Story

Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to look at our fundraising page, and a huge thank you in advance if you can spare a few quid in these difficult times for our chosen charity. Team On One are cycling from Bradford to the Irish Sea in Morecambe and then across the breadth of Britain to the coast of the North Sea in Scarborough, in order to raise money for Leonard Cheshire Disability. In total the team will have to cycle nearly 200 miles and that alone is no mean feat. What makes this challenge special is that the residents of Champion House (Leonard Cheshire Disability) in Calverley Leeds whose normal mode of transport is a wheelchair will match the cyclists mile for mile in a safer environment on an exercise/physio bike. When you take into account the disability that some of the residents have, I feel that they are the real heroes. The staff whose dedication is to help others is the driving force behind this challange and they are our motivation and inspiration to complete this.

In the pipeline to raise more funds in support of the cycle ride is a family fun day and cask ales festival to be held at the Calverley Arms Country Pub & Restaurant Calverley Lane, Leeds, LS28 5QQ and is to be held on the 6th of July 2013, from 12:00hrs onwards. Special thanks go to Craig the manager who volunteered the services of the Calverley Arms for what should be an funtastic day.

Your support will help Leonard Cheshire Disability to continue funding projects and services that make a real difference to the lives of disabled people, the money raised will go to Champion House in Calverley Leeds for specialist equipment
