Brighton Marathon 2011 · 10 April 2011 ·

Chiva’s mission is to ensure that children, young people and young adults growing up with HIV become healthier, happier and more in control of their own futures.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My friendship with CHIVA began last summer when I volunteered on the 2010 support camp that was held for young people living with HIV. I experienced first hand how HIV affects their lives and felt humbled to learn how they cope with issues such as disclosure, adherence to medication, prejudice and discrimination. The camp gave the young people a valuable opportunity to share their experiences and offer each other peer support.

Hopefully the 2011 CHIVA camp will be bigger and even better than last years. To achieve that we need to raise as much as possible, so please rummage down the sides of your sofa, empty your penny jars and spare what you can to sponsor me in running the Brighton marathon.

Thank you so much!
