Story

I'm walking 100 miles in April to support families facing dementia. The official distance is 30 miles but I’ve decided to push my challenge to 100 miles (160k) and raise £10 for every mile walked, hopefully reaching my target of £1000

My lovely Dad is still with us and for this we’re grateful but we’re slowly losing him to this cruel disease. He’s now in care in a home in Solihull, separated from his dedicated life long partner, our mum Diane who spent the last few years as his carer before his needs and mums own poor health finally separated them just before Christmas 2021.

If you could sponsor a mile (£10), that would be great If you feel generous, you could sponsor 2, 3, 5 or 10 miles.  But anything you can give would be hugely appreciated.  Thank you. Xx

The Charity

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
