The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am organising a cycle ride from Westgarth School in Marske to Crawford House at RVI Newcastle. The event is to raise money for the James Cook Hospital Maternity Wards and The Sick Childrens Trust.

I recently had personal experience of the great work done at James Cook and would like to do a little fund raising as a way of a thank you.

Some of you will know of a little lady named Enna Stephens from New Marske who is having treatment at the RVI in Newcastle for a brain tumour. Enna, a pupil at Westgarth School in Marske, is living in Crawford House at RVI Newcastle with her parents Monday to Friday throughout her treatment period. Crawford House is run by the Sick Childrens Trust and enables families from all over the UK to stay close by to their children in warm, friendly surroundings.

The event will take place on Saturday 15th October.

I am looking for sponsors and also fellow cyclists to take part and raise some funds for these two great organisations.

All donations will be greatly appreciated. You can donate to one or both charities.

Thanks again and best regards

Paul Harrison
