Great Scottish Swim 2017 Paul Harrison

Great Scottish Swim 2017 · 26 August 2017 ·
In 2009 (aged 10) I was diagnosed with Stage 4 sporadic Burkitts (non-Hodgkin) lymphoma - one of the most aggressive forms of cancer out there. After surgery and nine months of chemotherapy (and associated effects), I was successfully treated. I've now been out of treatment for seven years and recently considered 'cured'. After a while I returned to a normal school life and have since gone to university, and now feel like I should give something back.
Having been a competitive swimmer since the age of 7, it has been a large part of my life pre- and post-cancer. Therefore completing a 2 mile swim in a freezing loch some hundreds of miles away would be a fitting challenge. It would be fantastic if you could donate ANYTHING AT ALL to a charity that has ultimately helped enable me to be here today. My sister Lauren is also taking part in the same challenge and you can sponsor her here too.
