Story
Hello! My name is Paul Holtham and I will be climbing Kilimanjaro in early September 2010. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In a moment of madness, I accepted an invitation from a friend to climb Mount Kilimanjaro-all 5800 plus metres of it! At the time, it seemed a good idea! Later I found out that Kilimanjaro is higher than Everest base camp.
I have climbed at altitude before -- at least to 4200 metres -- but this will be a new and serious challenge. If need be, I will crawl to the top.
But why a school in Uganda?
Three years ago, I went on holiday to Uganda with my partner, Anne. We had a great time. We loved the people, the wildlife, the scenery. We wanted to give something back to their community and this seemed the perfect opportunity.
We know the treasurer of the charity and so we also know that the money raised will be used in the best possible way. All monies received will be used by the school for the school. I am paying all my own costs.
