Four and a half years ago we were given the devastating news that my wife Louise had womb Cancer!
Nothing can ever prepare you for the effect it has, not just on the person who has it, but on the whole family.
Lou has had great medical treatment through the NHS and at the Spire, but that only deals with the physical aspects and not the mental side.
Fortunately Lou's consultant recommended a wellbeing centre called Penny Brohn.
They provide support to your mind, body and soul and we have been fortunate enough to have had two residential courses and Lou has had further one to one and group counselling sessions there.
Lou wouldn't be the positive optimistic person she is today without them, even though she is still suffering every day from the 26 different conditions she has been left with.
So when my daughter Charlice saw that Penny Brohn were organising a sponsored 6 mile walk, she insisted that both her and I should do it. Even though she suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.) herself.
We would therefore ask that you donate to our Justgiving page, even if it's only a pound, as every amount will help and it's our chance to give something back to the organisation that has help bring our Lou Lou back.
