Coniston water is a place where I have many happy memories. On 31st August I will attempt the daunting task of swimming it from end to end and hope to get your support to raise funds for young swimmers.

The Dream  A few years ago I thought how good it would be to do this swim and create another memorable experience even though I have never swam anything like this kind of distance, 5.25 miles is the equivalent of 338 lengths of a standard 25m pool. 

The Reality In October 2018 Tazmin Pugh a talented swimmer and family friend died tragically aged just 18. Tazmin was a bright and beautiful person who it was a pleasure to see growing up and follow her successful career representing Team GB in the pool.

The Goal   To challenge myself to realise a pipe dream but more importantly raise funds for the Joanna Brown Trust to support the next generation of Team GB swimmers like Tazmin.
