Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As one is not getting any younger I have volunteered myself (before it's to late) to take part in the greatest / toughest challenge of my life.  On 27 September 2011:  I, along with 5 others are intending to cycle the 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End in 12 days to raise as much money as possible for a charity that is very close to my heart and home.

The Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (CMT/D) study's muscle atrophy and nerve degenerative.  Although there is no cure for this disabling disorder as yet: CMT are researching how to improve the quality of life to those affected.  Prevention, by looking into the genes and proteins that effect this disorder and hopefully find a cure that will stop it from being past on through child birth.

Please read through the CMT/D site and get a greater understanding of what this disease does to the body and what is being done about it, I hope it touches your heart as it does mine daily.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.
