Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So on a sunny day in May last year I signed up to run the London Marathon, something that's been on my bucket list for a long time. What I didn't realise at the time was that this would involve not just one day of excruciating pain but three months of unendurable agony, as I drag my neglected body into something vaguely resembling fitness. Still waiting for the 'endorphin high' I've been promised to kick in.

If the schadenfreude this scene provokes is not in itself a good enough reason to make a donation, please also consider the great campaigning work that the Suzy Lamplugh Trust do to keep our society safe - you can find out more at www.suzylamplugh.org. They're a small charity run really well by Rachel Griffin and her fantastic team. Your donation will really be appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Suzy Lamplugh Trust is the national personal safety charity and aims to help everyone in society to lead safer, more confident lives. Through advice, information, resources, training, community talks and projects, it deals with issues from walking alone at night to staying safe whilst keeping fit, from people working in vulnerable situations to children using the internet and from reducing elderly people's fear of crime to raising awareness of the dangers faced by boys and young men. It works throughout the UK to give people the information and skills they need to live their lives to the full, confidently and safely.
