Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Just over a year ago my Grandpa passed away at the age of 98 after suffering from Dementia for a number of years. Throughout those years I learnt how important nursing care and support is.

On the 22nd of April I will be running the Connemara Mountain Marathon in aid of Dementia UK. A charity focused on providing nursing support to people suffering from Dementia.

Training for the marathon has been one of the hardest things I've done but it will all be worth it if it leads to further funding for care & support to those impacted by Dementia.

Any donations you can give would be brilliant!
