After years of sitting at home and watching the hundreds of thousands take part and complete the London Marathon, I have decided that I want to push myself to the limit and take part in this amazing world famous event. 

I applied for a charity place to run in the marathon and I am absolutely thrilled to have been successful in my application to run this marathon whilst raising money for Stroke Association! 

My first challenge of securing a place is complete as over 1,200 people applied to represent Stroke Association at this event.

Now the hard work begins. As many of you will know, I have never done anything close to this in my life and it will be the most physical and mentally demanding experience of my life.....however, having had close family suffer Strokes in my lifetime, I am more determined than ever to complete this mammoth task knowing that I will be raising money for an amazing cause that will go to assist in changing the lives of people who have been affected by Stroke whilst also helping to reduce the number of people who are struck by this devastating condition. 

Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way towards providing assistance to families who have been affected.
