Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The team of people at St Mary's hospice in Ulverston provides care for people either at home, or at the hospice who are terminally ill.
My Dad, Jim, was the second person to be looked after by the hospice when it opened back in 1983. The story goes that he would have been the first through the door if he hadn't stopped for an ice cream on the way! They are an amazing team of people who provide a great service and support to people and their families in times of real difficulty.
Earlier this year, I decided that I would like to do a triathlon. It's something that I have always wanted to tick off my bucket list. It just so happens, that just down the road from the hospice, there is an annual triathlon event. It seemed right that I should try and tie the 2 things together and try and raise some money to say thank you an support the work that they are doing.
I have no doubt that this is going to be really hard, but to have the fact that I am doing something for this great cause, will undoubtedly spur me on.
If you would be so kind to support me in this, or just want to see a picture of me in a silly swimming cap, then please donate generously. :)
Thank you
Paul
