Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

7 years ago we were given the heartbreaking news that our beloved Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer…she passed away later that same year from the shitty disease! Since her untimely death, my brother Dan has been raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation each year by pushing himself to the limit through various challenges under his 'Muzza Aid' charity.

So I thought it was about time I put my limited fitness to the test and raised some money myself by running only my second ever 10k race. I ran the Harewood House 10k back in April 2014 and clocked a time of just over 60 minutes. This race (on Sunday 20th July) I'd like to try run sub 1 hour and raise a bit of money along the way for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. The money raised will go towards providing specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer because those nurses who looked after my Mum in her final weeks did an amazing job and long may it continue.

Losing your Mum or anyone you love is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with and there's not a day goes by that I wish she was still here and I would've loved her to have  met her Grandsons! :(

As always I leave everything until the last minute so please give a few quid and together let's beats this mother f*cker they call Cancer!!

Big love…Muzza xxx
