Pod's 22km swim in aid of Combat Stress · 4 August 2016

The UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, we provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

Story

As most of you are aware I run Gorilla Warfare which is a strength and coniditioning facility in Walkden. A few friends and members have recently nominated me for the 22 press up challenge to raise awareness for Combat Stress which is the leading uk charity who support ex-service personnel suffering with mental ill health which should never be ignored or under estimated. Some of you might not know but this is topic is close to my heart and I have always run a policy at Gorilla Warfare that all active service men and women can train for free so instead of 22 press ups challenge I've decided I am going to swim 22 kilometres in one day to make up to those who have nominated me and also all my military friends!! I am hoping that this will be a bit more productive than doing 22 press ups a day and also raise a bit of money for this worthwhile charity !!!
