Run4Rosa 2 - Go Barefoot for Barth Syndrome

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Potters alf Marathon without shoes on Sunday 26th September 2021 in loving memory of my cousins (Stefan) and his wife (Louise) little girl (Rosa Genevieve Fields) This beautiful and such amazing and brave little Girl tragically passed away on 12th August 2017 at the age of 3 due to having a rare condition called Barth syndrome also Rosa sister (Emmylou) is currently living with the same condition. I am running to raise awareness and to raise much needed funds for Barth Syndrome UK who do unbelievable work with both suffers and their families. This condition is characterised by enlarged and weakened heart, weakness In muscles and recurrent infections due to small number of white blood cells and there is only 200 people worldwide with this rare condition and effects mainly boys, which there is no known cure . Running this half marathon personally presents massive challenges for myself Running 13.1 miles around Stoke on Trent without shoes but I am determined to complete this challenge and do it for Rosa and her family and any other boys or girls suffering with this condition and I am proud to raise as much money as I can for the Barth Syndrome UK I understand if people can't Donate especially due current climate with Covid 19 but would awesome if you could share our story , if this event is cancelled then I will be running it barefoot virtually on the same route.
Run for Rosa and thank you for reading
