Hope provides a safe family environment for destitute children in Kerala, South India It has already built 6 houses in the village for up to 60 children, each house supervised by its own dedicated 'Mother' It also provides a kindergarten for up to 100 children as well as IT and cultural centres

Story

Josie and I have for many years sponsored a child in the Third World.  Visiting Kerala at Christmas we went to visit the orphanage and were overwhelmed by the work being done.  The children are so happy, contented and secure, and the staff so caring.  The orphanage shows precisely what can be done, and how much still needs to be done.  There are 2500 orphanages in Kerala alone.  There will never be enough money, but at least here all the money is spent on the project; and nothing is wasted in administration.

I haven't run now for 12 years because of injuries, but I am determined to succeed and I will carry with me the memories of the children's smiling faces.  I f they don't motivate me, letting the people down who run the charity will.
