Story

My Gran had dementia now my mum has got it, this evil disease is hurting all my family so once again im going on an epic adventure to raise money to find a cure, on Friday the 11th June 2021 i will be setting off on my bike from my house 220 miles to Southend where i will then be running the Southend half marathon, after which i will start my 358 mile bike ride to Glen Ridding in the lake district, once there i will then swim the 7 mile length of lake Ullswater, then run up and down Scarfel pike England's highest mountain, after which the final part of my adventure is to jump back on mi bike and pedal back home then this will then be the end of my adventure and time to rest, my most beautiful and supportive wife will be my support driver and the rest of my family will be helping with support all the way, this is so dear to me and and my family so we all need to help as this is a terrible disease which touches nearly everyone.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
