After six years of trying Sue and I have finally managed to secure a place in the 2010 London Marathon!!

We are running for the Children With Special Needs Foundation which is a Surrey based charity set up in 1995 to support individuals, families and groups in their requests for special equipment, holidays and special care, and to also work with teachers, social workers, doctors and other professionals who care for these children.

The charity staff are all unpaid and none of the volunteers claim expenses so all of the money raised is put towards helping the children.

The charity has recently provided equipment costing £7000.00 for my son James Placitelli who has severe learning difficulties, limited mobility and epilepsy. They purchased a tandem wheelchair bike which has allowed the whole family to go on bike rides so he can be included with his brother and sister and an all terrain buggy which we can use instead of his wheelchair on rough terrain.

 Any funds raised will help the charity to support another child with special needs.
