I have set myself the challenge of running the Greater Manchester Marathon to raise money for The Christie. I recently turned forty and had wanted to mark the point by taking part in my first marathon . The reason why I chose The Christie was that in May 1994 my Gran died of cancer and I wanted to raise some money to help them with their work .
