Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here is some of the explanation about what I'm doing and why - but don't forget to watch the video at the third image below! I'm running the London Marathon in aid of Housing Justice.  Many of you will know that HJ is the national Christian voice on homelessness; we work in all sorts of different ways: supporting and training volunteers working in Night Shelters and Soup Runs, as well as helping to deploy Case Workers, and seeking to challenge the injustices that mean we have to do the work that we do.   Recently for a Press Release about the new Birmingham Night Shelter that is just starting I said this: “What is so exciting about this project, when many fear for the disintegration of society, is the way in which the Christian faith community and others have come together to work to help those who are at the margins.  This collaboration – at all levels from the City Council to the humblest volunteer - is what will form the foundation of so much healthy regeneration in the future and is but a part of what is happening nationally.”  I find it so exciting being a part of this change – a change that can bring about transformation for the better – for individuals as well as Communities.  And it’s not just change brought about by best efforts – it’s inviting God to take his place at the centre of all that we do!   Sooooo, the ask is for you to sponsor me for this small 26 mile run in April!  You could sponsor me for a £1, or a £1 per mile ..or £10, or £10 per mile (or more!).  Whatever your contribution it will be appreciated, and it will go towards making a difference to the lives of our brothers and sisters who live on the margins – through genuine transformation.  In so doing you will become a part of that wider Community of those who care – and I’ll update you on the breadth of that Community as the days go by.   Bless you!  And here's the official bit .....   Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
