2020 has been a roller coaster year for many of us and people have endured some pretty dark times and been impacted both physically and mentally. Anxiety and uncertainty are on the rise and many are suffering with depression and other mental health related issues. We are seeing rising numbers of suicide cases and this topic means an incredible amount to me. I am motivated to end 2020 by giving something back, raising awareness and ending it positively by attempting to complete my toughest challenge to date. Having pushed my limits several times already in 2020 I want to push my limits even further and will be looking to run a total of 200 miles in Dec. 31 days to run the equivalent of over a 10k per day every day. This will of course be beyond a challenge and will test my mental and physical strength, It will be cold, dark, wet and windy and of course Christmas time too but that just makes me more determined. The Martin Gallier Project is an incredible charity supporting suicide prevention, breaking down stigmas, and supporting families in the North West of England and are based here on the Wirral. 

Since lockdown they have seen a 300% increase in referrals and have successfully completed over 1200 suicide preventions  with a 100% success rate.

I want to highlight the incredible work they do and raise much needed awareness around mental health.

I appreciate December is a challenging month financially for a lot of us but it can be a dark and lonely time for many who see now way out. I want to help them. Please donate and support me on this journey. No amount is too small and all makes a massive difference.
