Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 31st May 2018 I donated a kidney to my wife via the kidney sharing scheme. The alternative would have been to wait years for a match to come up through the deceased donors list – time that she would have had to spend on home dialysis.

To support those affected by kidney disease I am taking on a number of challenges in 2020 - starting with running three half marathons (Worthing, Barcelona and Brighton) in 15 days in February.

I will be raising money for Kidney Research UK, the leading charity dedicated to research into kidney disease in the UK. Their research aims to improve the quality of life of those living with kidney disease, with the aim of eradicating this silent killer.

They rely almost wholly on the generous donations of the UK public and believe that everybody deserves a life free of kidney disease. There are three million people in the UK living with kidney disease right now. One million don’t even know they have it and there is no cure.

It would be brilliant if you could help me raise some much needed funds for this amazing cause by sponsoring me – thank you so much for your support!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
