The idea is simple, join us by doing 20 brilliant things in 2020 to get sponsored, raise money and to help us support more children living with cancer throughout the UK.

Story

At the start of lockdown in early March I was challenged to ride 50 days without a break. I like to ride and this was achieved without too much trouble, especially as the weather was generally very good, so I was immediately inspired to try harder and go for 100 days. I completed this in early June, and was then taunted with 200 days as an improved target, which is when 220 days appeared in my head as a way to tie in with the Cyclists Fighting Cancer 20in20 challenge. It's been a tough time for all charities, especially one like CFC whose main cycling fund raising activities for the year have been cancelled.

Since 2005 CFC have helped more than 6,000 children on the path to regaining their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes and offering specialist activity support during treatment and on into recovery.

I am launching this fund raiser on day 165, 75% of the way through the challenge and I have so far ridden just over 5400miles/8600km and for the last two weeks I have been starting to feel the wear and tear. I was reflecting the other day that one of my New Year resolutions had been to take more rest days this year !

Please support this great charity with a bit of cash, and encourage me to grind through the last quarter of this challenge. Thank you.
