Cycling the route of the longest Tour de France stage ever · 7 July 2019

Small Green Shoots is a unique creative consultancy based in London’s King’s Cross. We develop inspiring arts-based projects that empower young people aged 16-24 living in areas of social deprivation. and give them the skills they need for a secure future. Our mission is to change their lives.

Story

7 July 2019 is the 100th anniversary of the longest ever Tour de France stage. To mark this, I will attempt to cycle the 300 mile route from Les Sables d'Olonne to Bayonne just as the professionals did - leaving at 10pm on the 6th, riding through the night and then the day until we are finished. It's by far the longest I've ever attempted to ride in one go.

Small Green Shoots is an incredible charity, run by passionate people, who help give young people from disadvantaged backgrounds an opportunity to engage with music and the arts, and to use these experiences as a springboard for their future.
