Campaign by Music Support (RCN 1170231)
Please help us to continue providing vital support to those who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction in this time of immediate need.

Story

14/2: Half way through Dry February and I could do with some financial encouragement. I'm sponsoring myself to keep on track. Should you care to chip in, I'll fund match up to £300.
I don't really like seeking sponsorship for this kind of thing as it shouldn't be a big deal. Anyway, it's for Music Support so why wouldn't you? A great charity offering support at a difficult time.

------------------------

Due to the extreme financial impact on the music industry of the COVID-19 crisis, many of our peers are experiencing higher than usual levels of anxiety, depression and issues with alcohol and other substances. Loss of short and longer term income, an uncertain future, and social isolation have placed individuals and families under previously unknown levels of pressure, stress and strain. Our peers most susceptible to mental ill health and addiction are suffering, as are many of those with no known pre-existing conditions. There is an urgent need to provide support that will mitigate the immediate and long term behavioural impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The music industry has an opportunity to help by acting now. Acting now will save lives.
