Alice was one of the East Midland Junior Fencing Squad whom I helped train. She was friends with of two of my children.

Her life was ended violently by a man who felt he had the right to control her and, if he couldn't do that, he could kill her.

This possessive male violence STILL happens far too frequently. We need money to research what happens in these people's heads, only then can we combat it. Punishment will never stop future instances. Only prevention and treatment can help make women safer.
