London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·

We are the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to helping everyone affected by the disease. We fund essential research and provide much needed support, information and advice. We raise awareness and challenge the misconceptions of lung cancer. We do all this so those affected can expect better.

Story

On the 7th April 2024 Myself, Adam, Geraldine and my sister's husband Simon are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon raising vital money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

This charity is extremely close to our hearts having lost Dad to this disease on 17th October 2013.  We have supported the charity since that time and like all charities they rely on people raising funds for them as they get very little government funding.

Dad's passing at only 68 was devastating to all of us as a family including his to grandson's Ewan and Liam and his sister June.  Dad has missed out on so much like seeing his grandson's achieve great things at school, while Mum has lost what should of been there time together having not long both retired when Dad got ill.

We run in April as a family in his memory and to raise funds to help find a cure and stop other families being ripped apart by this disease.
