Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I'm doing this course and raising money with my friends; Gavin Dickson, Holly Milton, Steven Hildreth, Marc Hoyle, Andrew Duguid, David Galloway and Sophie Newton and this is why;

In January 2012 my son Felix was born and despite a reluctance to leave the womb he eventually arrived and was seemingly fit and healthy.

However after about 6 hours back on the ward he decided that he was bored of breathing and stopped doing it.

Thankfully a nurse came to his rescue and was able to get him to the Special Care Baby unit where he was able to be revived.

However he wasn't out of the woods yet and over the next critical minutes and hours he was given high quality care that minimised damage to his brain and over the course of the next few days enabled him to breath unassisted.

During this time the staff kept us informed and the facilities allowed us to remain in the hospital with our Son.

Finally after almost two weeks he had improved enough to take him home and he has since made a full recovery

We consider oursleves very lucky, some families aren't so fortunate but the work the Special Care Baby Unit and Tiny Lives do ensures as many families as possible take their children home.

And thats all you can really ask for as a parent.

So please dig deep and donate what you can.
