During my visit to Bhutan, researching bees across the kingdom, I came across this charity and felt moved by the work they do helping disabled children.  Many villages are very remote and so any child with a disability is often not able to access aids that we often take for granted. Following my seven years in a wheelchair, I appreciate how life changing such equipment can be offering an opportunity to leave a bed or home environment and enabling the user to contribute to society.

I hope that my birthday celebration can help make a difference to those less fortunate than me.
