RMH Oxford Half Marathon 2013 · 13 October 2013 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Oxford Half Marathon to raise funds for research into Pancreatic Cancer. My motivation was the recent death, at the tender age of 22, of a wonderful young man and friend of my son. My inspiration has been my children who have faced some tough challenges to raise money so that this cancer can be better diagnosed and treated. For me a half marathon is a huge challenge; I am not a natural runner and it takes all my self discipline to put my running shoes on and get out onto the road, but I know that it's a challenge worth facing if I can have your support.
