I'm doing this so I can raise money for JDRF (the same charity I did my hair chop for) so they can do more research into finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetics. 
I'm also doing it because as a family we experience Type 1 as a day to day thing and I've seen what it does to mum and Bex. 
A lot of the time Bex will get scars from where she tests her bloods or where she has put her cannula in or where she used to inject, and with mum some nights she will get almost no sleep due to having to stay up to help control Bex's bloods overnight whilst she sleeps.
