Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

My lovely Mum passed away last year with Parkinson's.  Note, I didn't say 'of', I said 'with'.  You die with it, once it has robbed you of mobility and independence.

She watched her Dad die from it too, so this charity means a lot to us.

Whilst I have run halves before, none have seemed as unlikely as this one.  Only a few months ago, with severe asthma, I could barely walk the dog.   A couple of changes of medication have given me back my running.  So with gratitude, I have worked very hard to even have a shot at it.

Parkinson's can rob people of their independence, their mobility, balance and dignity.  It can take the ability to swallow food or drink.  Anything you can give that would support further research and support for patients would make a huge difference.  Thank you.
