Story

Imagine this: in 36 hours you and your team have to travel as far away as possible from where you live without spending even a penny of your own money. All that while competing with hundreds of other student teams from all over the country who are trying to beat you. Sounds like a challenge! And sounds like lots of fun, too!

Jailbreak 2017 is the name of this crazy UK-wide 36 hour race that we are privileged to take part in. It will be a once in a lifetime experience. But actually it is about way more than that.

Jailbreak wants to raise awareness and most importantly raise funds for Newlife, a charity society that supports children with disabilities in the UK, e.g. providing them with special seating or walking and standing aids.

And exactly this is the main goal of the whole event. Each Jailbreak team has committed themselves to raise a minimum of 120 £ for Newlife. Every single penny we raise on justgiving.com will be instantly sent to them. There’s no intermediate agent so you don’t have to worry about where your money ends up!

Let’s share our grain of sand for this common goal!

Thank you,

Paula and Lennart

PS: We will also be selling cookies on campus to go beyond 120 £. If you want some, don’t hesitate to come to the Piazza next Wednesday ;)
