Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 22nd September I will be taking part in the "Devoted to Life Walk" in Nonsuch Park, Cheam, Surrey, in memory of my Husband, Peter.

Nonsuch Park holds special memories for me. We both played there as children, and did quite a bit of our courting there! Our Wedding reception was held in the Mansion House.

Peter died on 15th February this year from a Brain Tumour. He was 52. We had been married for 30 years, together since I was 14. He fought bravely throughout the 7 months of his devasting illness, he took it on the chin and never ever complained.

With the help of a wonderful Marie Curie nurse, Peter was able to die at home and with dignity, surrounded with love from our children, grandchildren, family and friends. I will never forget, and will always be grateful to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
