Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and No! - Your eyes are not decieving you. Bartman has entered and intends to complete the London Marathon in April !!

The rather dodgy picture of me on this page was taken on Feb 17th just after completing the Brighton Half marathon. If that wasn't hard enough , the thought of doing double that is a pretty daunting one!

Having drunk too much, smoked too much and done little excercise for the past 15 years, I thought, that before I retired to my wing backed armchair infront of the fire, this would be a great opportunity for me to embark on a more healthy lifestyle and to achieve one of my lifetime goals as well as raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

Having lost my Dad, grandfather and grandmother to heart related illness, I am proud to be running for Heart UK- Team Red Laces. They do a huge amount to raise awareness and prevent premature death as well as providing helplines and support centers for patients and their families.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HEART UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I am doing this for myself, Heart UK and in memory of my Dad - So please sponsor me now!

I and Heart UK really do appreciate your support and generosity

Many thanks.

Paul (Bartman)
