My name is Paul Birkenhead and for the last 20 years, I have worked for Age Concern Cheshire.  Presently I am the Office Manager of this wonderful charity.

As like many charities, the fundraising department of those charities try to provide vital sources of unrestricted income to enable their respective charities to keep on providing those much needed services for their individual causes.

One of this year's events is the forthcoming Age Concern Cheshire - Tandem Parachute Jump, which will be taking place on Saturday 3rd May 2008, in Whitchurch, Shropshire.

There are now eight, possibly foolish, but committed people taking part in this event.  They consist of one member of the general public, three members of the Weaver Vale Housing Trust, three family members of staff from the charity, and the remaining 'jumper' , is little old me!!!  (Less of the 'little' - a family/work joke)!!!  

My photograph shows me and two fellow members of staff, at a previous Age Concern Cheshire fundraising event which we recently attended - The Rocky Horror Picture Show - whereby we all dressed up 'appropriately'!  Jackie, the 'lady' on the left of the photograph, her daughter Rebecca will also be 'jumping' with me.

The actual cost of the tandem parachute jump is £251.00.  This will be raised by me personally, through other fundraising efforts.  At present I have raised £325.50; which I have included in the figure below under "amount raised offline".  

If I am not successful in raising the total amount required for the actual jump, I will personally pay the outstanding amount required.

I would like to confirm, ALL monies raised through this site, together with the other sponsorship monies raised off-line, will go to the charity concerned.
