A massive thank you to all those who kindly donated last year to my Just Giving Page for the Relay For Life 2024 and our Teams alone, Friends Forever 1 and 2 raised in excess of £6,000 the proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.

Once again we are taking part in this years Relay For Life 2025 over the weekend 5th and 6th July at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds walking 24hrs raising money for Cancer Research UK.

We are undertaking various events towards our Team total and I am reaching out to individuals / companies to donate as much as they can as all donations will be greatly appreciated to support this very worthwhile charity.

Relay For Life brings together teams of family and friends to fundraise for life-saving cancer research. Teams, cancer survivors and volunteers then unite as a community to honour everyone who has been affected by cancer and celebrate the money raised for research.

The festival is focused around a 24 hours relay where teams together take part to complete laps of the track all day and all night to show that together we’ll do whatever it takes to beat cancer.

Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen. Across the UK and the globe, teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for world-leading research to save and improve lives, then unite as a community at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making.

How does the money you donate power progress?

- £65 could buy special restriction enzymes. These act like molecular scissors to cut long strands of DNA, allowing our scientists to find out more about the genes that can cause cancer.

- £220 could fund our team of nine cancer nurses for one hour. Our nurse helpline offers confidential support and guidance to people affected by cancer.

When you fundraise for Relay For Life, you’re helping fund research and make discoveries. You’re helping bring about a world where everybody can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
