Sometimes I feel like my body is aging quickly, and other times I know it is. Let's face it, I am the wrong side of 50 (I know, I know, it's hard to believe), but things are starting to seize up and those pesky injuries come along and seem to take forever to shake off. I think I spend more time on foam rollers and stretching than I do actually getting any exercise done.
Now I know that many of you that will say, "hang on a minute, you've run loads of marathons, why should we sponsor you?"
Simple, all marathons are tough and believe me no two are the same but for me this is about raising money and awareness for a charity that I have supported for many years, a charity that gives so much to the troubled children and teenagers within our society, especially up here in the North of the country. I also think that London is a special Marathon, with fantastic support and it has been far too long since I have visited the capital for tootle round the streets.
Thanks Brathay for allowing me to run for you and here's hoping I can stay fit enough to make it round.
There follows some official blurb but please if you can tick that Gift Aid box, the Gov't will pop some extra spondoolies on and it wont cost you anything. Thanks.
