Fantastic day. £3,855 presented to Owen at BHF today. Thanks Mrs Evans, head teacher, for your support. Hyde Park children were amazing and really got involved in our drumming session. The press were there and we presented Hyde Park School with a signed drum head from the band of We Will Rock You in London Tony Bourke drummer of the show arranged this. Thanks also to Bere Alston School, HBH Woolacotts staff, Bere Alston Church and wonderful congregation, plus all who donated. Ivor and I are eternally grateful for all your support. x

Fantastic day. Went to Hyde Park School with Ivor and played at their assembly. Miss Gill was amazing and the kids were so well behaved. A little girl who had been saving for a charity is going to donate it to us and therefore BHF. It's about £2.50...how sweet. They've also made some big hearts that they will cover in coins. Had a great planning meeting last night. Thanks Ivor, Ian, Richard, Steve, Richard, Sara & Jackie for your endless support and putting up with me. Hi Everyone. Here's a quick update of what's happened this last week. The BHF have sent me a huge red banner to help attract folk on the day, it's massive! I have started putting in hours of practice to try and help make the marathon more bearable! Bere Alston School are looking to support Ivor and myself with a drumming lunch on the Friday... hey, 17hours in, no sleep, 30 children, NO problem! Richard Waring is taking control of sound and vision with Richard Smith. Tavy Praise have just donated their collection to help with the fund raising and HBH have agreed to have collection tins in all their shops. Please Please Please Donate all you can. Thanks

Just spoken to Dan from Trevada Music Camborne. He completed a 24hr drum marathon a number of years ago with 2 other drummers. He says 'Never again. 12 hrs in and I was all in. Blisters, sore wrists...' oh dear, oh dear dear dear!

On the 10th November 2010 I underwent a quadruple heart bypass operation at the age of 47. 12 months on I am looking to raise as much as I can for the British Heart Foundation who were the backbone to my recovery from this operation. Simon Allen, my consultant, was excellent and coupled with the support I received from him, his team and the BHF I was soon back playing again. This 24hour music marathon is a huge test and challenge for me but along with some fantastic support from other musicians, we hope to raise a fantastic amount for this worthwhile charity. Ivor Lander, a brilliant friend and musician will be supporting me throughout the marathon. We promise you a great fun time. Come along and listen, play, and please dig deep and give generously.
