Guinness World Records 51 Hour Snooker Marathon Attempt in the BBC Tees Open Centre
The Event
The BBC Tees open centre will host a World Record attempt for the longest individual snooker marathon involving 2 players.
The current record stands at 48 hrs & 1 min which was set by Mark Morton & James Travis earlier this at the crucible theatre in Sheffield during the world championships, it is our aim that we beat this record and raise some money for Children in Need.
The record & where it will take place
The players are Paul Grace from BBC Tees & Tom Brown from Redcar & ClevelandCollege, who play for 51hrs in order to bring home the record to Teesside.
The players will start on Wednesday 13th November at 2pm and they will play till around 5pm on Friday 16th November making a new record of 51 hours and it all takes place in the open centre in the performance area.
The Table
They will play on a Full match play which is ex world championship table now owed by Ronnie O Sullivan and it is used in his exhibition matches and has been donated free of charge.
The players are allowed 5 mins break each hour, in accordance with all the terms and conditions that have been laid down by the goverening body.
