GIST Cancer UK works to help patients and families affected by GIST - a rare cancer. We provide a patient support network and host meetings for patients and health professionals. We fund research to improve understanding and find treatments for GIST cancer as well as a specialist PAWS-GIST Clinic.

Story

Paul passed away on Friday 10th October at just 47 after a short battle with a large GIST.  This is a kind of sarcoma, which is a very rare type of cancer. There are around 900 new cases each year in the UK. GISTs mostly affect people between 55 and 65, but there are GIST patients both younger and older. Due to the rarity, many GPs will never see a case in the whole of their career. We as a family want to raise money for GIST Support UK so they can learn more about GIST and reduce the suffering for future patients and their families.

Thanks,

Charlie (His wife)
