Story
Throughout his life, giving back has been very important to Big Brother 18’s Paulie Calafiore. Causes particularly meaningful to him include anti-bullying, rape and domestic violence victim support. On November 13th, Paulie celebrated his 28th birthday and there was no better way to honor him than by being a part of the change in the world and supporting a cause particularly important to him at this time — the fight against cyberbullying. It was with that thought that this campaign benefitting the Cybersmile Foundation was born.
Although the fundraising goal of $10,000 was reached on Paulie’s birthday, we decided to extend the campaign through the end of the month to insure that anyone who hasn’t had a chance to donate still has time.
This isn’t just a fundraiser — it’s a movement. Here’s some of what your donations buy:
- $3 will enable us to offer emergency support to a desperate helpline caller
- $20 will fund a 50 minute counseling session for a victim of cyberbullying
- $150 will allow us to train one Cybersmile volunteer to help others online
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
