Paulinè To'ofohe is raising money for National Heart Foundation of New Zealand
Story
This one hits home for my family and I ❤️
My name is Paulinē To'ofohe and I’m 5yrs old. My Papa lives in heaven now. My mum told me he had a mitral valve replacement. The mitral valve is one of four valves in the heart that keeps the blood flowing in the right direction. This didn’t fix my papas heart and he died in 2001 aged 41yrs old, leaving behind my Nana, mummy and my 6 uncles, aged between 15yrs old to 10mths old. So a tribute to my Papa, I dedicate this to him by participating in ‘Jumping June’ 2024 with my school, to get active in looking after our hearts while making a life-saving difference and helping to fund vital heart research. Together, we can fight our country’s single biggest killer – heart disease.
