At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Dear Family and Friends

To mark my 90th Birthday in March I have decided to try to raise much needed funds for Francis House Children's Hospice in Manchester, where I worked for 25 years during my retirement and for the Alzheimer’s Society in support of Caitlin Rawcliffe, a young student at Durham University, who is working hard to raise funds to help their research.

I hope my family, friends old and new and former colleagues will lend their support as I attempt to hobble on my crutches 90 times round the grounds of Elmwood, a total of approx 22 miles between 1st March and Easter Sunday.
My target is £2,000 to be divided between the two charities.

My sincere thanks

Pauline Armitage (Mrs A)
