In memory of Pauline Swatridge

Pauline Swatridge was a beautiful, creative, original, warm-hearted girl who took her own life at the age of 15 after battling schizophrenia courageously for years. Her short life was an inspiration to many, and the years she had were well lived, filled with laughter, mischief, artistic creation and caring for others until the illness gradually stripped all these things away from her. She has been and will remain sorely missed.
This page collects together the donations we have received since her death. Her friends also created a JustGiving page for ongoing fundraising for Young Minds, which can be found at http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising-for-youngminds. There is a beautiful obituary written by her grandmother on the Guardian website at http://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/aug/01/pauline-swatridge. A slideshow of images from her life can be found on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKup_8p5mto.
