Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be.

Story

Save the Children is facing one of its biggest challenges ever. Due to the Covid pandemic, millions of children could die as coronavirus sweeps across nations already crippled by war and disaster. Children here in Northern Ireland are also suffering from the economic hardships as a direct result of the pandemic. Save the Children expects to see its revenue fall by millions this year as the pandemic limits our fundraising. As Volunteers in Northern Ireland, we are setting ourselves the challenge of walking 1000 miles in the lead up to Christmas Day. As members and friends of Save the Children NI, we will be walking all around our wonderful country, coastlines from Bangor to Ballycastle, through forests from Castlewellan to Kilrea, up hill and down dale throughout November and December. Any donation, however small would be very welcome.
