Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My fabulous friend Julie and I are taking part in the Big Stroll together this year.

I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and secondary Breast cancer in 2022 and couldn’t have got through it all without the support I received from the Maggies's centre in Lanarkshire. Not only did they support me through all my treatment but they were also there for my family and I when I lost my mum to Glioblastoma is 2023.

Julie and her family and friends have also been affected by cancer and she is passionate about raising funds to support others.

Unfortunately every single one of us will have been affected by cancer in some way throughout our lives but they’re not all sad stories. I’ve seen an incredible amount of strength, resilience and determination throughout and am so proud to be playing a small part in the Kiltwalk this year to honour every single one of those amazing people fighting every single day to beat this.

The event marks 2 years since all my treatment ended so it’s a chance to celebrate that milestone too 😊
