Story
Paul was a hard working and gifted ophthalmologist who spent the last decade working at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He gave so much of himself in kindness and love to his patients, colleagues, the local community and also the DRC, his beloved home country.
He was a man of strong faith and the pastor of the Rock of Ages church in Upper Norwood, who touched and helped change people's lives for the better wherever he went.
His loss has affected us deeply, but we will keep his memory strong in our hearts, and no one who saw it will ever forget his brilliant smile.
Alongside his vital NHS contribution, Paul worked in the DRC to improve the eye health of this large African country with a population of 84 million people suffering from a large burden of untreated eye disease.
Moorfields Eye Charity has kindly agreed to host this collection and its trustees will use the donations received in Paul’s memory to support charitable eye health care benefiting people in the DRC.
